Images do not appear or are corrupted when saved from Webi to Excel

Synopsis

When you save a Web Intelligence XI report with an image to Excel format, the image is corrupted.

Why does this issue occur?

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a new report in Webi Intelligence.
2. Turn the table into a bar chart with lines.
3. Save to Excel. The bar chart appears fine.
4. Change the chart data format to 'Vary Data Markers' and save to Excel. The graph image is corrupted or does not appear at all.

Solution

This known issue has been assigned Track ID ADAPT00548331. As of the publish date of this article, there is no file update for this issue.

To work around this issue, uncheck the 'Vary Data Markers' chart data format option.
